The Ottoni animati were born in 2008 from an idea of Mr Alessandro Mancuso and Mr Alberto Anguzza. They are the result of a continuous research between the sounds of the traditional Sicilian band and modern music. The sound that comes out from this mix is spontaneous and very explosive.
Their aim is to revive the Sicilian culture through the sounds of music wind instruments for recalling memories of the past village celebrations, where the music was committed to the band that brought the love and the passion of their musicians among people.
Their first CD “The South’s march”, published in 2010 and produced by Terra Nova SrL, proudly displays their ability to express the ethnic origin of Sicilian culture, together with an artistic dimension that is local and global in the same time.
